TOOTH WHITENING:  Want a brighter, cleaner smile?  Ask one of our staff members how you can achieve a whiter smile.

INVISALIGNInvisalign is a series of clear, removable teeth aligners that our dentists use as an alternative to traditional metal dental braces. As of April 2008, more than 730,000 patients have completed or are currently in treatment.  All three of our doctors have been trained and certified as Invisalign providers.  Ask your doctor if Invisalign is right for you.

SEDATION
: Are you NERVOUS about your upcoming dental visit?  Our doctors can make your visit more pleasent with the use of sedatives.  Nitrous oxide or "laughing gas" has been used for many years in dentistry and is a very safe and reliable way to relax during those not so comfortable dental visits.  We also offer anti-anxiety medications that the patient can take before coming in.  Ask your doctor which would be right for you.

CROWNS
: If you want a smile that's your crowning glory, you may need a crown to cover a tooth and restore it to its normal shape and size. A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance.  It can cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn't enough tooth left. It can be used to attach a bridge, protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that's already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped. It's also used to cover a dental implant. If your dentist recommends a crown, it's probably to correct one of these conditions.

IMPLANTS:  A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is used in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth.  It is the closest thing to getting a "real" tooth back.

FILLINGS:  If you have worn or decayed teeth, your dentist may recommend a filling.  There are two choices when it comes to the type of material that can be used.  Amalgam or silver filling material is strong and inexpensive but not very esthetic.  They work well on posterior molars.  White or composite fillings can be placed anywhere in the mouth and are a great alternative to silver fillings.  They generally don't last quite as long and cost about 30% more than there silver counterpart but are very esthetic.

ROOT CANAL:  When the nerve on the inside of the tooth is hypersensitive or necrotic (dead and infected), the nerve chamber and canals need to cleaned.  This will rid the patient of the extreme cold sensitivity or throbbing pain caused by an affected nerve.

COMPLETE OR PARTIAL DENTURESDentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth and are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Conventional dentures are removable, however there are many different denture designs, some which rely on bonding or clipping onto teeth or dental implants.

EXTRACTIONS:  Extractions (getting a tooth pulled) are done for various reasons including tooth decay, crowding of the teeth and wisdom tooth impaction.  Most extractions are done in our office under light conscious sedation and local anesthesia.  If the patient wishes to be completely "out" during the procedure or if there are medical concerns, we can refer the patient to the Oral Surgeon.
